whoa, december...
Happy December! Month of birthdays of Sis, Thalia, Imelda, J.M. (and J.M. & J's baby!). It is only fitting that the weather will change from 70 and muggy to 35 and frigid before the day ends. Mom and Dad are snowed in with the wicked storm that sat on the Midwest yesterday.
My verdicts on the following:
Dental work: thumbs down, but eventual thumbs up, in 11 days when it's all over.
Meetings: thumbs up (productive, but not too long).
Review session: hopefully thumbs up, if I don't mess up the dates for any major early modern European wars this time...
Dinner with boyfriend: thumbs way up, it's been a long week.
Big Game against Cal: thumbs neutral -- love the sports event of it, don't love that we'll get spanked by Cal if prior play is any indication.
This: Thumbs up - I was just tickled..

- what's the Christnas plan? In NYC you can see all the 'windows' and share your thoughts on them
thank you, anonymous -- i think now might be a good time to manage reader expectations.
with-an-i is not about providing detail for inquisitive readers. it started to give friends & family updates on what's up wherever i was, and is now more about writing what i'm thinking, what i think is funny, where i am, and then maybe reading comments & responding as we go.
responding to specific questions about myself in a public forum just plain makes me uncomfortable. the prospect of answering queries is exhausting. i won't do it. besides, the stories are probably a lot less interesting when nothing is left to the imagination.
if we're acquainted, i'm sure i'd love to hear from you via email or better yet, on the phone, to catch up in detail. if we aren't, i'm sorry, what's here is what you get.
blogging, for me, is not a proxy for actual conversation, nor is it a place to get to know everything about me. with-an-i can't be a constant back & forth, though i do love receiving stories, grammar tips, and other miscellany from everyone!
