honkers!
yes, my next mock orals session is in less than an hour, but i'm working on that "staying calm" thing this time around*, and i swear to god i just heard a flock of canada geese fly over my building. it was that distinctive wintry sound.
it may be a homesick hallucination, but there are probably geese in the city, in some park? isn't it too cold for them here? are we even in a migratory flyway? or, maybe, it's a particularly odd sort of industrial squeak from one of the businesses below?
amazing.
* lack of calm and preparation yesterday led to (i felt) a total disaster in mock #2, and a new policy of not-talking-to-anyone ensued for the remainder of the day; took me until this morning to regroup.

hey, i'm sending good exam-vibes your way. i've been training at BMG all week and can sympathize with the performance pressure. yikes! it's exhausing having my heart racing for an entire 90-minute show! hope your friday session went well. big hugs
wabes, you are going to rock the orals. just remain calm. as for the canada geese, yes, they were definitely flying overhead. they are all over van cortlandt park near riverdale like nobody's business. in fact, van cortlandt has been covered with a sheet of snowy ice for a week and in the morning light it looks like a giant frozen lake... with flocks of canada geese waddling over it.
